A float valve will help to keep the water at a consistent level so that it does not run low.
With a 3 litre capacity the drinker is made from strong and durable polypropylene, which is designed to withstand knocks and harsh weather. It is unlikely to freeze in cold conditions, perfect for times when you are unable to get to the stable to ensure the water is drinkable.

The holes to screw the drinker to the wall are below the water line so water seeps out the back and floods the stable. We bought 4 and managed to adjust the ball cock on 2 so they didn't leak but despite several adjustments on the other 2 we couldn't stop them leaking. Had to replace with different drinkers.
