Below are some recent questions we've received regarding Nobivac DHP Injection for Dogs, including answers from our team.

My dog is a year old and I thought she may be due a booster I have read nobivac is every three years is this correct , in sept 2019 she had all her initial vaccinations of nobivac DHP and L4 but vet/ nurse has documented she needs a booster in sept 2020
Nobivac DHP is licensed to only need to be given once every 3 years, if the last dose was given when your dog was older than 10 weeks. However most vets will give a booster vaccine at 1 year old to ensure immunity. After this dose at a year old then boosting every 3 years is adequate.
The Nobivac L4 vaccine must be boosted once yearly to ensure immunity so your dog will need annual boosters regardless. I recommend following their specific advice on which to give.

If the first dose is given at 12 weeks is there a need for another ?
Below is the advice from the data sheet itself which should answer your question. If you have any more specific questions I recommend contacting the vet who is carrying out the vaccine course on your puppy.
Primary course vaccination: A single injection should establish active immunity in dogs of 10 weeks of age or older.
Booster vaccination: To maintain protection a single booster dose is recommended every three years.

Bertie, my 10 yr Cocker Spaniel had his booster delayed by 3 months. He had it today. When is he able to go outside for walks, please? Thank you.
If you are having a booster vaccination then immunity will already be present and will be 'boosted' to ensure it lasts another 3 years, you therefore will not need to wait before taking your dog out.
If this was a restart to the vaccination course as it was overdue, then the onset of immunity is 7 days so I would advise waiting this long.
