It uses ionic attraction to clump together waste which enhances the filter absorption and helps to give crystal clear water.

In the colder weather my aquarium seems to cloud up, I used just a tiny amount of this product, once a week, when I changed the water and it has definitely helped. Three weeks and I can see through to the back surface.
