Fipronil spray kills fleas, ticks and biting lice. Suitable for dogs and cats, also ideal for puppies and kittens.
Directions for use:
For dogs and cats from 2 days old weighing a minimum of 166 g to a maximum of
10 kg.
It is essential that the weight of the animal(s) to be treated is accurately determined
before use of the product.
Method of administration:
Spray the entire body of the animal, and apply from a distance of approximately 10-
20cm.
Apply against the lay of the hair and make sure that the entire coat of the animal is
dampened. Ruffle the coat, especially in long haired animals, so that the product
penetrates down to the skin.
For treatment of the head region, and when treating young or nervous pets,
application may be carried out by spraying onto a gloved hand and rubbing the
product into the coat. Allow to dry naturally. Do not towel dry.
Posology: It is important to dampen the coat down to the skin. Depending on the
length of hair, apply 3 to 6 ml per kg bodyweight, (7.5 to 15mg of active ingredient
per kg bodyweight) i.e. 6 to 12 pump applications per kg bodyweight of the 100ml
presentation.
The 100ml bottle contains:
• Approximately 3 to 6 treatments for a dog weighing 5 kg, depending on hair length;
• Approximately 8 treatments for a short haired cat weighing 4 kg;
• Approximately 2 treatments for a long haired dog weighing 8 kg.
Properties : The formulation contains a coating agent. Therefore, spraying builds up
a film.
In the absence of safety studies, the minimum treatment interval is 4 weeks.
The minimum dose for the product is one pump. Therefore, this product is only
suitable for puppies and kittens from 2 days old that weigh more than 166 g. Very
young puppies and kittens are unable to regulate their body temperature and use of
the product will have a cooling effect. For this reason, care must be taken to keep
these individuals warm after treatment whilst remembering to keep treated animals
away from fires or other sources of heat as the product is highly flammable.

Is this product ok for collies
Yes, this product contains fipronil which is safe for use in collies. The wormer to avoid in collies is those containing ivermectin as certain breeds can react to this however fortunately anti-parasiticides licensed in dogs no longer routinely contain this ingredient.

Hi, is this product sprayed directly on to the animals skin/fur & can it be safely used with other flea, tick & lice treatment?
This product contains fipronil and so should not be used alongside other flea/lice/tick treatments containing fipronil. It is applied directly to the animal as follows:
Method of administration:
Spray the entire body of the animal, and apply from a distance of approximately 10-
20cm.
Apply against the lay of the hair and make sure that the entire coat of the animal is
dampened. Ruffle the coat, especially in long haired animals, so that the product
penetrates down to the skin.

Will this kill harvest mites on a dogs paws
Firponil based sprays, like FIPROtec, are not licensed to kill harvest mites. However there is good evidence that off license they will kill harvest mites on contact. The product should be applied directly to areas on the skin where harvest mites may be, for example inbetween the toes or around the legs/belly.
