Intestinal parasite repellent for poultry, ducks, pigeons, game, aviary and caged birds. This is a natural herbal combination with no pharmaceutical chemicals. Due to the natural nature of this product withdrawal of eggs is not required. Safe for eating birds, no ‘lay off’ period required. 20 drops per 100ml of water (in separate feeder), 3-4 days per month, will treat 4 birds for up to 16 months. If putting water into feeder you need to withdraw all other water until feeder is empty then add clean water. Alternatively add drops to water and add dosed water to mash when feeding, or put drops directly onto small pieces of bread and feed direct.

Below are some recent questions we've received regarding Farm & Yard Remedies Chicken Wormwood, including answers from our team.
Catriona
I was wondering if this product is safe for Cag’s and dogs too. My dog often drinks out of the chickens water and I was wondering if he is deworming himself (he has other drinking options) and I’m wondering if so then can I use this for my cats too.
This product is only intended for use in Poultry and Other Birds, it is unknown how it will affect a dog or cat and so use in other species is not advised. It is recommended to use wormers licensed and intended for use in dogs and cats instead.

Does this kill Gapeworm?
This is a natural herbal remedy that may help reduce the worm burden in the intestinal system, however it is not licensed to kill intestinal worms. It also will have no effect on gapeworm which lives in the throat. I recommend using a product like Flubenvet to treat gapeworm in chickens.

What's the active ingredient of Chicken Wormwood?
That is a good question. This is a herbal product and to my knowledge no scientific tests have been conducted to establish proven efficacy or what exactly the active elements are. The ingredients are listed below. The belief is that through the combination of the plant extracts included, the birds by whatever mechanism are able to eliminate some or all worms from their digestive tract. As a retail supplier we have not conducted any tests ourselves as that is beyond our capability. We can only pass on the information we receive from the manufacturers. It is only with licensed medications that thorough scientific evaluations and controls are made. The ingredients are tinctures made from:
Wormwood (Artemisia absinthium): A traditional remedy for gut hygiene, a long history of use for intestinal hygiene.
Walnut (Juglans cinerea): Good liver herb used traditionally to cleanse and to help control intestinal hygiene.
Cinnamon (Cinnamomum zeylanicum): A good remedy to help promote intestinal hygiene.
