Description

Upcard is a recently developed type of diuretic (water tablet). It helps to expel an excessive build up of fluid in the body and is generally used in cases of congestive heart failure, or where oedema has developed. The active ingredient is torasemide and is believed to produce a better outcome than frusemide which has been used for a long time for the same sort of purpose.

Susan

My vet has prescribed Up card 0.75 mg 1 tablet daily for my cat with congestive heart Failure and CHM. I've read it is specifically for dogs only, is this safe to use please?
Thanks

Yes, Upcard is safe to use in cats. It is licensed only for dogs but vets can prescribe it off license for use in cats too.
