NETTEX Muddy Marvel De-Scab is a penetrating solution that helps soften scabs bought on by wet and muddy conditions. Using this unique solution allows you to simply wipe scabs away without affecting healthy tissue.
Key ingredients: Alpha Hydroxy Acids.
Carefully remove any mud and trim or clip away excess hair from affected areas as necessary. Wash the area with warm water and pat dry. Using cotton wool or gauze gently dab Muddy Marvel De-Scab onto required area, so just enough to cover scabs. Allow the horse to stand for 5 minutes maximum to allow De-Scab to penetrate. Rinse with warm water and carefully wipe affected area with clean gauze or cotton wool. Carefully dry and apply Muddy Marvel Disinfect.
If severe symptoms seek veterinary advice before using.
Always patch test an area first and wait 48 hours. If a reaction occurs stop use immediately.

I bought descab to hopefully soften the scabs my horse gets on his hind legs due to mud fever ,it worked remarkedly well in fact it did exactly what it said it could do ..theres only a niggly couple of buts ,the amount in each bottle is small ,I would pay more for a larger size ,also its not exactly easy to get the stuff out of the bottle

Can this be used on scabs caused by mallenders and sallenders?
If the skin is broken under neath would it hurt/sting my horse?

NETTEX Muddy Marvel De-scab formulation is deisgned to help soften scabs for easy removal and could be used on a horse with mallenders and sallenders. If the skin is broken underneath this could give rise to sensitivity and so we would recommend to patch test a small area first. We generally recommend to not use on broken skin.
In such cases we would strongly recommend your client seek veterinary advice before proceeding with any product or management protocol, to ensure no harm is done and to achieve the best outcome for her/him and their horse.
