The Curb Chain rests under the chin groove between the bit shank purchase arms, and controls the lever action of the Curb Bit. When engaged with the curb rein, this chain will apply pressure to the chin as well as amplify any bit movement in the mouth. This chain is leather covered not only to reduce the risk of pinching and improve comfort, but also to allow the chain to sit more easily on the chin groove. The addition of a fly link permits the attachment of a lip strap.
