I have successfully used Gold Label Iodine to treat a graze in my dogās paw. Is it safe to use for a small sore near her mouth? I am travelling and canāt go see a vet.
It is not advised for large amounts of iodine to be ingested. If the sore near the mouth can be treated without risk of the product being ingested then this is safe, otherwise it is advised to use products that are safe for use within the mouth area. Dentisept is a good anti-septic that is suitable for use in the mouth.

I have read online that povidone iodine can help with Vent gleet in chickens. Is this product the same as or similar to Povidone Iodine?
Yes this product contains Povidone Iodine. We recommend seeing your vet for Vent Gleet, they will be in the best position to advise on the most appropriate treatments.

Is this the same that the hospital uses for bites abs scratched from cats.
This product can be used directly on your cat but you should avoid eyes and other sensitive areas. Iodine is used by vets in practice to clean wounds, but chlorhexidine based scrubs are also commonly used (e.g. Hibi scrub).

Can this be used on dogs?
Iodine is an animal friendly disinfectant that can be applied directly onto your dog. It can sting if used directly on open wounds but is safe for disinfecting these areas.
You should avoid contact with eyes and other sensitive areas.
