Having tried unsuccessfully to get my Puppies ear to heal after it had been bitten, within 4 days of using this Aloe Vera Gel, I can see a marked improvement , so much so that I could take off the Cone of Shame today.

Chose this product as Aloe Vera had been recommended by Alfie's vet. Alfie is a rescue and was in a very poor state, his elbows were deeply cracked with no fur covering. Having had skin scrapes to check for any parasites first Aloe Vera was suggested. This product has worked very well, has taken roughly three months to get to a state where there are no cracks and a normal covering of fur. would definitely recommend this product.

My dog has recurring bacterial infections of his nose which result in sores, scabs, and generally looking as if his nose is being eaten away. Every now and then we cure this with a long course of antibiotics, which results in him being fine for a few weeks and after that coming back. During the time after it comes back, we use biobalm to help keep it at bay. My vet has now suggested that aloe vera might work better. However, a US vet website tells me never to use it on the nose. Is this product safe to use on the nose?
Yes this Aloe Vera Gel can be used on the nose area. I cannot think of a reason why Aloe Vera would be unsafe on the nose area, perhaps the gel you found on the USA site had another ingredient in that wasn't safe for nasal use?

My cat has raw sores on her back from over licking due to her anxious nature, will this help soothe and potentially reduce how much she licks herself and would it be ok if she were to ingest some? I currently have a vest on her to protect the areas and help them heal. Many thanks
Yes this product will help soothe irritated skin and is safe for ingestion if groomed off. If the grooming is this severe though then I advise contacting your vet for a treatment plan, aloe will only soothe and will not be particularly effective if completely groomed off each time.

Is this product good for soothing itchiness associated with atopic dermatitis for my dog?
This product will help soothe areas affected by atopic dermatitis, however it will not treat and reduce the underlying need to itch. I recommend reading our blog 'Allergies in cats & dogs - a vet guide' for information on how to approach the issue and what other products can work.

A semi feral cat visits us and he is mainly white.He has badly sunburnt ears and I wondered if this product would help.
It might help to some extent, but it depends what is going on with the ears. If they are getting sunburnt now, a sunblock would be more helpful. (You have to be careful cats do not swallow this to any great extent as it can be toxic if they do.) However if this is an older cat with ear tips which are eroding away due to a carcinoma resulting from sun damage in the past, then surgery is the only real treatment.

My cat has a flea allergy, she has got bumps and scabs around her neck, tail and legs, she is forever licking and scratching, I use Tropiclean Oxy Med products on her, also Frontline once a month. I would like to know if the Aloe vera gel is safe to use on her as she is one month pregnant.

Yes this is a very safe product. Ideally you do not use medicine or treatment in the first 3 weeks of pregnancy in a cat. After that it is less critical and it should be fine to use this product.

No one will insure our dog who has skin allergy. Begore i fork out £500 for allergy test im wondering if aloe will ease his itching
Aloe products do tend to reduce itching but are not a complete answer. They tend to reduce symptoms but will not cure an allergy. I suspect you would do better to investigate the allergy further, rather than try random treatments instead. This product is probably a good one to try and reduce the discomfort from itching, but is not a replacement for proper treatment.

My dog apsakes his head and frequently scratching his ear, vet checked it and concluded maybe so eczema, so gave us hydrocortisone. Don't want to use this all the time
This Aloe vera gel is safe to use and soothing, but not nearly as potent as hydrocortisone. You can try it and see how you get on. It might even be worth trying an exclusion diet for a few weeks as a dietary allergy often triggers persistent ear trouble in dogs (surprisingly). Check with your vet ideally.

My cat has recently developed an allergy to flea bites from fixes who visit our garden - wd aloe Vera help ?
Aloe vera might well soothe the bite reactions but it would not cure the problem. Careful flea control is the answer. Wherever the fleas come from, an effective spot-on treatment used every month through the year is the best option. The skin reaction will gradually subside if you keep the flea population down.
