We actually purchased these for their shape as they are wide and shallow with cut outs to allow a cat to eat without their whiskers touching the dish. Our cat eats better from these and the fact they aren't plastic is a bonus.

Lovely item, Tinker is thrilled with this bowl. He usually shares Claude’s bowl as he’s a grazer and goes back to it several times aday. Claude eats his dinner then gets in the cat hammock and sleeps for hours. Tinker is a more playful cat and runs about than goes to the bowl more often. He loves his new bowl.
