Beaphar Dog Flea Shampoo is a specially formulated cleansing shampoo designed to control flea infestations in dogs and puppies over 12 weeks. Promoting a re-infestation-free environment, inhospitable to fleas, Beaphar Dog Flea Shampoo should be used in conjunction with an effective insecticide used on beddings, baskets and resting places. 100% safe for all dogs except lactating or those under 12 weeks, Beaphar Dog Flea Shampoo is ideal for the lasting control of fleas, making you and your dog worlds happier. Not suitable for use on cats
Directions for use:
Mix the recommended amount (see below) of shampoo with 300ml of lukewarm water. Wet the dog's coat thoroughly with warm water and apply half of the mixture. Massage well into the coat, using finger tips around the head to avoid the eyes, ears and mouth. Rinse and repeat with the remainder of the mixture working up to a good lather. Rinse well with lukewarm water and towel dry. Brush and comb thoroughly.

Great to bath an itchy dog and confirm presence of critters
I used this on my 3 itchy dogs as a last resort without being able to find any evidence of fleas, but found some dead ones after using this! It isn't a stand alone solution but is great as a temporary stop to kill fleas while you wait for the next attack product to be delivered! :D smells nice too, not too strong

I used this on my dog as per the guidelines and instructions on the bottle. I used it twice over the course of 2 weeks and neither time did I notice any difference. And yes I used it in conjunction with a household spray AND Capstar tablets.

Does this shampoo actually kill fleas and eggs already on dog?
This shampoo contains Pyrethrum plant extracts, which is a natural insecticide. It is not a medicative shampoo so is not proven or guaranteed to kill fleas though. If you need a product that will definitely kill fleas then I advise spot ons like Frontline Plus or Advantage.
