The Beaphar Multi Wormer for Cats is a comprehensive three week treatment for all UK species of roundworm and tapeworm and is suitable for cats older than 6 months. Containing two types of tablet, one for roundworms and one for tapeworms, the Beaphar Multi Wormer for Cats is highly effective against all the major species of roundworms and tapeworms in the UK. Give pink tablets on first day, fawn tablets a week later and then pink a week after the fawn.
ALWAYS FULLY READ THE PRODUCT PACKAGING BEFORE USE.
Do not remove the tablet(s) from the foil blister until you are ready to use the product.
Weigh your cat carefully and use the following table to calculate the correct dose. The dose is the same for both the pink and fawn coloured tablets.
Cats weighing 0.6kg: ½ tablet
Cats weighing 0.7–1.3kg: 1 tablet
Cats weighing 1.4–1.8kg: 1 ½ tablets
Cats weighing 1.9–2.5kg: 2 tablets
Cats weighing 2.6–3.0kg: 2 ½ tablets
Cats weighing 3.1–3.6kg: 3 tablets
Cats weighing 3.7–4.3kg: 3 ½ tablets
Cats weighing 4.4–5.0kg: 4 tablets
For cats weighing more than 5kg, give one extra tablet per kg in addition to the recommended 4 tablets.
It is recommended to routinely worm your cat every three months.
Do not exceed the stated dose. In the event of an overdose seek immediate veterinary advice.

From the description on the website I got the impression this box would be able to treat both of my cats, it said there were quite a number of tablets in the box but didn’t say how many each cat was to receive. Upon reading the instructions when I got the product, each cat is required to take multiple tablets each week for 3 weeks, and there were only enough tablets to treat one cat. This is a lot of effort and I would not buy this again. My cats also didn’t want to eat anything for 2 days after having the tablets so I assume it made them feel unwell.

Tried the cats with these wormers, but they seem to have a sixth sense when it comes to tablets being crushed and added to food, none of the four would eat the food, so had to throw it, and the pills, away. I am sure that it would be fine for most cats, just seems that my furry kids are extra suspicious!!

I have 5 cats are there enough tablets in 1 box for all my cats?
This depends on the weight of your cats. There are 12 tablets in a box and the medication must be dosed according to the following guidelines:
Cats weighing 0.6kg: ½ tablet
Cats weighing 0.7–1.3kg: 1 tablet
Cats weighing 1.4–1.8kg: 1 ½ tablets
Cats weighing 1.9–2.5kg: 2 tablets
Cats weighing 2.6–3.0kg: 2 ½ tablets

Cats weighing 3.7–4.3kg: 3 ½ tablets

Hi, I gave my cat the first dose of tablets on week one they eat it mixed in with their food no problem but today with the second dose of tablets the white ones I mixed it in with their food and they ate a bit and have left the rest! I could see my male cat food the taste discusting and later on my female cat started foaming at the mouth! She has also been retching! What does this mean? Do I need to see a vet? Do I carry on next week with the next dose?
This sometimes happens if your cats do not like the ingredient which is used to kill off tapeworms. You can give the 3rd dose as you had originally intended and your cats will have been treated for roundworms. However they will not have had proper treatment for tapeworms. If you think that they could have tapeworms, then I would advise you give them Droncit (not Drontal, which is a full multi-wormer in itself. You might want to use this however in future). Droncit is a different treatment specifically for tapeworms. It can be given by tablet or spot-on in fact and contains a different active ingredient to the ones you have already tried.
