Description

Beaphar Joint Paste is a combination of natural ingredients which have been specially formulated to promote the maintenance of tendons and connective tissue, and encourage optimal joint function. Easy to administer due to its highly palatable taste.

Glucosamine helps allow smoother joint and ligament movement while Green Lipped Mussel powder is a natural source of Chondroitin which regenerates and maintains healthy cartilage and provides Omega 3 fatty acids. Vitamin C has been added for its immune system benefits and because it contributes to collagen formation and cartilage function, and Vitamin E protects the cells from oxidative stress.

Can be mixed with food or given directly from the tube. Always keep fresh drinking water available.

A good and very palatable food additive which has green lipped mussel plus additional vitamins which were recommended by our vet. Whilst not the cheapest, you get what you pay for. After a couple of weeks we think we noticed an improvement in our dogs movement, though a subsequent x-ray revealed leg bone deformity which will obviously not be cured by taking this supplement. However the improvement noted plus further discussion with the vet mean that we will continue to feed this to our dog.

This is an excellent product. My dog was limping quite badly until I started giving her this. She loves it, and can't wait when the tube appears. It can be hard to squeeze out of the tube if you have arthritis in your hands.
On the negative as I live in Bedford, it would have been quicker for me to drive to Luton and collect this myself than the time it took to come by post

Combining supplements

Annette

Currently using Renew Me for our twelve year old terrier. It has helped make him less of an Eeyore but he does get stiff in his back legs and has a tremble in his front legs. Could I use Beaphar joint paste with the Renew me or is there an overlap ? He is not great with pills and I thought the paste might be easier.

  • VioVet Staff

Yes these 2 products can be used safely alongside each other. If your dog is difficult to tablet then I would advise our own brand joint supplement in chew form, Joint Force Soft Chews. These are palatable and your dog may take them as a treat directly.

Is it safe to use whilst using other medication

My dog has been taking metacam prescribed by the vet to help with possible arthritis in her front knee and stiffness with her joints. Is it safe for me to give her this paste along with the medication. I also give her glycoflex every day which she has taken for a number of years along with her brother who suffered with hip displaysia.

  • VioVet Staff

This product is often used along with Metacam and this combination is safe. The same applies to the Glycoflex, which is a similar product in fact.
