This intelligent PCM technology can reduce the temperature of a hot dog by 7°C and will last several hours, without relying on being cooled in the fridge or charged. The PCM core will re-solidify when the mat is left in a relatively cool place such as a cool room, and will be ready to use again.

My Samoyeds love these mats, particularly when they have been cooled in the fridge. I place them on top of my dogs fluffy bed in the evenings and they enthusiastically jump on and settle down for the night. They are good quality and filled with plenty of gel and last a long time providing your dog doesn’t chew them. Great way to keep your dog cool in hot weather.

Whilst I am sure this product will work well in warmer weather to cool my older dog I am worried about what may happen to my younger dog who chewed the edges. It says on box to not allow it to be chewed but does not say why. I feel it should tell me what action to take if chewed. I had to ring emergency vet.

One of my elderly dog suffers from Cushings Syndrome, and has periods of being overwhelmingly hot and panicky. She was particularly restless at night.
As she often made for the somewhat cooler laminate floor when she got hot, I hit on the idea of buying a couple of these cool mats. I'm pleased to say that she has taken to them and is much better settled during the night, making it much more peaceful for her - and for us!
