Xeno 50-mini is a simple and effective ivermectin spot on solution for prevention and treatment of common internal and external parasites on small mammals and birds less than 800g bodyweight.
The active ingredient, ivermectin, is a substance known as an endectocide because it kills parasites that cause infestation inside the body (endoparasites) as well as those living outside the body, on the skin (ectoparasites). Ivermectin is used in many species for the control of mites, roundworms and lice.
Xeno 50-mini may be used in rats, mice, gerbils, chinchillas, hamsters and other small rodents, rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs and birds under 800g bodyweight.

Contra-indications Xeno 50-Mini is only for use on rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, rodents and birds. Do not use on animals other than those indicated. Serious reactions including deaths have been reported in dogs (especially Collies, Old English Sheepdogs and related breeds), tortoises and turtles treated with the active substance. 5.3 Special precautions for use If you are uncertain about the condition of your pet, consult a veterinary surgeon. If symptoms persist, consult a veterinary surgeon. 5.4 Use during pregnancy and lactation No data available. Do not use in pregnant and lactating animals 5.5 Interaction with medicaments and other forms of interaction None known 5.6 Method of administration Holding the pipette firmly in one hand, twist off the cap. Apply 1 tube (50 micrograms) per 250 g bodyweight onto the skin on the back of the neck and down the spine. Each tube contains approximately 15 drops each drop will deliver 3.3mcg Ivermectin.
DO NOT OVERDOSE For routine prevention of common ectoparasites this dose should be repeated monthly. For the treatment of an existing infestation, repeat doses are required two weeks and four weeks after the initial application. 5.7 Special warnings for each target species Do not overdose. Avoid use in or around the eyes. Occasional central nervous system disorders, lethargy, inappetance, local irritation and/or hypersensitivity reactions may be observed. These signs may be more common in young animals. Should such a reaction occur, discontinue use and seek veterinary advice. This product is toxic to chelonians. Do not use in tortoises, turtles or related species. 5.8 Withdrawal periods Not applicable. For pet animals only. Do not use in animals intended for human consumption. Do not eat eggs from treated birds. 5.9 Special precautions to be taken by the person administering the product to animals Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water following treatment
